Kerbside Waste Collection – New Contractor from 30 June 2025

From Monday, 30 2025, JJ Richards & Sons will begin kerbside waste and recycling collection services across the Gympie region.

Here’s what residents need to know:

• Collection days will stay the same, but collection times may change. To avoid missed collections, place your bins out by 5am on your regular bin day.
• Residents are encouraged to review their current waste service details to ensure the number of bins at their property matches their rates notice.

This change is part of Council’s new eight-year contract and supports the recently adopted Waste Strategy 2025–2035, which aims to reduce landfill, boost recycling and create a more sustainable region.
