Council and Community working together for Gympie Koalas
Together with Council’s Wildwatch citizen science recording platform, Federal Government funding, and the community recorded koala sightings, the Koala Action Gympie Region community group (KAGR) have created the below Story Map to share their learnings from nearly 10 years of koala conservation in Gympie Region and koala data collected by the community since the development of Gympie Wildwatch in 2019.
It is interactive, linking to our region’s live koala database ‘Wildwatch’. Story Maps are interactive web applications that are great to showcase stories about conservation, raise awareness, and inspire action.
We hope this inspires you!
