As-Constructed Guidelines
Gympie Regional Council participates in the Asset Design As Constructed (ADAC) data scheme, the industry standard for capturing as-constructed public infrastructure data for councils and utility providers across Australia.
Upon completion of physical works and prior to the assets being accepted on maintenance, a current-version ADAC XML file of the “As-Constructed” data, along with a full set of “Design Drawings” marked up with the "As-Constructed" information, must be submitted for Council review and acceptance. The final “As-Constructed” data must accurately reflect material types, specifications, and other asset-specific information.
The digital ADAC XML file must serve as a complete and detailed record of what was constructed, as this information is used by Council for ongoing asset management and publishing to the Intramaps GIS platform.
To assist preparers of As-Constructed Drawings and Information, Gympie Regional Council publishes the ESDI008 Specifications for As-constructed Drawings and Information guideline, which sets out the general requirements for as-constructed drawings and information, including:
- As-Constructed Requirements and Submission format
- Drawing standards and presentation
- Survey and datum requirements
- Operational and Maintenance manuals
- Appendix A - Sample Plans
- Appendix B - Additional Non-ADAC Asset Data Requirements
- Appendix D - ADAC XML Guidelines 4.20 Schema
NB. As-constructed information submissions that do not meet these expectations will be returned to the provider for correction and resubmission at the provider's expense.
