Council renewed its commitment to the Small Business Friendly program delivered by the Office of the Queensland Small Business Commissioner.

Small business is the backbone of the region’s economy with 88% of businesses employing 4 or fewer employees and 9.9% employing between 5-19 employees. 

Being small business friendly means that council will work towards:

  • Uplifting the capability of small businesses
  • Fostering ecosystems that help small businesses
  • Promoting small business and vibrant economies
  • Enabling small business development and success
  • Working together for small business.
