In collaboration with our emergency services, Gympie Regional Council plays an important role in coordinating and managing disasters within the boundaries of the Gympie region. Specific types of disasters are listed on the Get Ready Queensland website, where you can find information relating to storms, floods, cyclones and storm surges, bushfires, heatwaves, tsunamis, earthquakes, pandemics, and landslides.
Get Ready Roadshow 2026
Council is hitting the road this October to help residents get ready before disaster strikes. Coinciding with Queensland Get Ready Week, Council is partnering with Queensland Fire Department and the State Emergency Services to deliver a series of free, community-based events across the region.
