Get Ready Roadshow 2026

Council is hitting the road this October to help residents get ready before disaster strikes. 

Coinciding with Queensland Get Ready Week, Council is partnering with Queensland Fire Department and the State Emergency Services to deliver a series of free, community-based events across the region. From coffee and chat sessions to a pet preparedness pop-up, these events are a chance to speak directly with the people who'll be there when it matters most and walk away with practical tips you can put into action straight away. 

With disaster season fast approaching, don't wait until it's too late. Come along to your local event to:

  • Speak directly with Council and emergency services staff
  • Ask questions specific to your area 
  • Learn how to build an emergency kit 
  • Develop a household action plan 
  • Find out how to stay informed when conditions turn dangerous.

All events are free. No booking required.
