There are six public swimming pools located around the region.

Facilities
The ARC is home to an eight-lane, 50m Olympic pool (Seasonal) and 25m indoor heated pool that is open all year round. The ARC also has 2 big water slides (Seasonal), a health club, splash park zone, function/meeting rooms, an outdoor BBQ area, and a kiosk/café with an outdoor seating area.

Opening times
The Kandanga Swimming Pool is currently closed but will reopen on Saturday, 21 September 2024. To mark the finalisation of flood recovery works at the Kandanga Swimming Pool, Council is hosting a Community Open Day at the pool on Saturday, 21 September. From 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, enjoy free entry and a complimentary Icy Pole for all attendees as we celebrate this exciting occasion.

The Kilkivan Swimming Pool is currently closed.
This pool is owned by Education Queensland, and repairs are being carried out by Q-Build. An announcement regarding the reopening of the Kilkivan pool will be made on Council’s Facebook page once Education Queensland provides further advice.

The facility offers water activities all year round, including aqua aerobics.
The gym and fitness facility offers a number of opportunities to achieve personal fitness and health goals.

- Monday & Thursdays 3pm – 5pm (30-minute class - $14 per child, $13 2nd sibling, $12 3rd sibling).

Pool Reopening Soon
Gympie Regional Council is pleased to announce the reopening of the Tin Can Bay Public Pool on Saturday, 2 November 2024, at 10:30 am.
The pool was initially expected to reopen later in the year due to ongoing upgrades. However, due to an unforeseen delay in the recoating of the pool shell, Council has made the decision to reopen the pool early to allow residents to cool off during the hot summer months.
