Gympie libraries seek community input to shape future direction

Gympie Regional Libraries has commenced its biennial community survey, aimed at gathering valuable feedback to help shape the future direction of the region’s library services, programs, and facilities.

This survey provides an opportunity for library users to reflect on their experiences, highlight what they value most, and share suggestions for improvement.

Gympie Regional Council Mayor, Glen Hartwig said this initiative supports the ongoing commitment of Gympie Regional Libraries to remain responsive, inclusive, and innovative, ensuring their services continue to inspire and enrich the lives of all residents.

“The library network serves a diverse population across multiple branches and is a trusted community hub,” Cr. Hartwig said.

“We want our libraries to reflect the needs of our community, whether it's through state-of-the-art technology, inspirating library programs or helpful staff.” “By gathering meaningful feedback from the community, our libraries can plan and deliver services, programs and spaces that reflect current and future needs.”

With questions covering frequency of visits, reasons for use, satisfaction with services, and future needs, the insights collected will inform strategic planning and enhance the library’s ability to meet evolving community expectations.
