Uncover Creative Gympie Region - Studio Trails 2024

Back

This July Gympie Region Studio Trails invites you to uncover the creative side of Gympie region.

In its eighth year, Gympie Region Studio Trails 2024 showcases a considered collection of over 30 emerging and established artists from across the Gympie region.

For each weekend in July, selected artists will open their studio doors and welcome you inside for a rare glimpse behind the scenes. View artists’ works, discover their creative process, join a workshop or demonstration, and uncover a new world of creative inspiration and possibility.

Plan a road trip and explore a different trail each weekend, discovering the beautiful Gympie region through the eyes of one of Australia’s most resilient and vibrant creative communities.

Mayor Glen Hartwig said this year’s Studio Trails was a great achievement for Arts and Culture in the region, showcasing real people, real stories, and real art.

“Our creative community is really excited to welcome you into their studios. This year Studio Trails is better than ever and includes a diverse group of local artists – potters, painters, sculptors, blacksmiths, silversmiths, textile artists, and many more,” Mayor Hartwig said.

“Pack a picnic, plan a road trip, and come and discover the best of the Gympie region”.

An official opening will be held Saturday 29 June at the Gympie Regional Gallery from 3pm-5pm. All are welcome.

Gympie Regional Gallery will run a small bus to a curated selection of Studio Trails studios each Saturday in July. The bus will depart from the Gallery at 10am. Limited places. Bookings essential.
