Easter on Mary to return to Gympie’s Town Centre

Back

Gympie Regional Council is excited to announce the return of Easter on Mary on Wednesday, 27 March, from 5.30 pm to 9 pm, on Mary Street, Gympie.

Get together with your family and friends to experience a night of fun-filled activities, including late-night boutique shopping, live music, delicious food from cafes, restaurants, and food trucks, plus street entertainment.

This year's headline music act is Sunshine Coast indie/folk/pop duo, Anna & Jordan.

Finalists at Australian Folk Music Awards (2014, 2015 & 2022) and Queensland Music Awards (2019), Anna & Jordan have been making appearances at some of Australia’s most iconic music festivals: Woodford Folk Festival (QLD), Nannup Music Festival (WA), National Folk Festival (ACT) to name a few. Their original music, both live and recorded, has encapsulated audiences all around the world with their charm and authenticity.

There will also be performances by the all-abilities community choir group Just Us, and the Australian Institute Of Country Music Rock Skool Band.

Gympie Regional Council Chief Executive Officer Robert Jennings says Easter on Mary will have something for everyone to enjoy.

“The annual street parties, like Easter on Mary, play a vital role in the fabric of our community, bringing us together to celebrate and create lasting memories.

Easter is a special time of year, and this event allows us to embrace the spirit of the season while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Mary Street. I look forward to seeing everyone there,” said Jennings.

Road closures will be in place for Mary Street and Smithfield Street from 4 pm until 10 pm.
