Gympie Regional Council’s Community Grants Program opens its second round of competitive grants on 12 February 2024.

This is the second round of the 2023/2024 grants program, comprised of two competitive rounds and one rolling round to distribute more than $590,000 across multiple categories.

Categories for 2023/2024 include

  • Volunteer Support
  • Environment Projects
  • Community Halls Insurance
  • Events
  • Creative Community Projects
  • Creative Professional Development
  • Get Local Community Grants
  • Council Venue Fee Waiver.

Council’s grants program continues to offer a range of funding opportunities to support projects and programs that enrich the local community. The second round of competitive grants opens 12 February 2024 and closes 24 March 2024. Successful applicants will be announced in April.

Council’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert Jennings said the grants program offers an excellent opportunity for community members, groups, and organisations to apply for funding support.

“The grants program reflects Council's ongoing commitment to developing community-focused projects and events. The program offers funding to assist with the planning and implementation of initiatives to enhance the social, environmental, economic, and cultural wellbeing of the Gympie region,” Mr Jennings said.

Council’s Community Development Team is holding information sessions (Community Conversations) across the Gympie region, where members of the community can pop in to find out more about the grants program and how to apply.
