Gympie Regional Council is happy to announce the return of Easter on Mary on Wednesday, 5 April 2023 from 5pm on Mary Street, Gympie Town Centre.

Get together with your family and friends to experience a night of fun-filled activities including late night boutique shopping, live music at the Gold City Centre Stage, tasty food vendors and street entertainment. Headlining act Forrest Run are sure to be a crowd pleaser and get the whole family dancing with their unique sound of indie pop.

Gympie Regional Council Mayor Glen Hartwig, says that this annual event has something for everyone and is not to be missed.

“This year council are excited to introduce competitions as part of the celebrations. With amazing prizes up for grabs, I encourage families to get involved. There will be a colouring in competition for kids 11 and under, and an art competition for kids 12-17, with the winners announced on the night.

“To get the rest of the family involved, there will also be a golden egg scavenger hunt which will have you searching the street for clues. It’s a fantastic night out that supports our wonderful Mary Street traders who are still recovering from last year’s weather events.” He said.

The fun will begin from 5pm, with road closures being in place for Mary Street and Smithfield Street from 3:30pm until 10pm. For more information or to learn more about the colouring and art competition, visit https://www.gympie.qld.gov.au/EasterOnMary
