Gympie Regional Council have partnered with local community groups Tin Can Bay Weeders and Cooloola Coastcare to host a community planting day!

We are looking for volunteers passionate about coastal rehabilitation to help us minimise the effects of erosion and storm inundation on our Cooloola Coast. Council will provide all equipment, just turn up at 8am in sun safe gardening clothes and enjoy a morning of good company and coastal rehabilitation! Council will provide water and coffee.

All plants planted will be low growing coastal species to minimise the coastal erosion impacts while at the same time maintaining the amenity value of the site.
