Mary Valley Scarecrow Festival
The biannual Mary Valley Scarecrow Festival is a popular Sunshine Coast event.
With Spring comes the energy of new life and the Mary Valley strips away Winter with a blast of creativity known as the Mary Valley Scarecrow Festival. Returning in 2025, the festival runs from 1-30 September.
Scarecrow spotting is the name of the game as visitors travel country roads looking for straw creatures, arty sculptures and other creations honouring the tradition of building scarecrows.

It's a great excuse to pack a picnic and tour through Mary Valley Country!
Prizes are awarded in three categories: Traditional - T-shape skeleton and body with human form; Artistic - Anything that is an original idea; Child - Up to15 years.
