Gympie Civic Centre is the home of performing arts in the heart of the City. The multi-faceted centre, includes three function spaces suitable for everything from performances to wedding receptions, meetings and conferences. Showcasing a diverse program of local and national events, the Gympie Civic Centre is the hub of cultural, community and corporate life in the region.

The Heritage Theatre has tiered seating with a capacity of 400 seats which makes it ideal for most theatre productions/conferences as perfect vision is ensured. The Prospectors Hall is a large open auditorium perfect for dances, weddings, exhibitions and much more. The Fossickers Room is a small meeting room, more suited to intimate functions such as conference, weddings and other social gatherings.

Accessibility

There is wheelchair access at the main entrance of the Civic Centre through to all function spaces. Wheelchair accessible seating must be booked over the phone or in-person. We ask that you discuss your needs and ticketing options with our Box Office staff when booking to ensure you have an enjoyable experience. Accessible amenities are located in the foyer.

We accept companion cards for all ticketed shows at the Civic Centre.

Parking

Ample public parking is available directly outside of the Gympie Civic Centre with access from Mellor St and overflow carpark available accessible from both Mellor St and McLeod St.

Ticket collection

The Box Office will be open 1 hour prior to the commencement of the show for ticket collection. You will need ID or proof of purchase to collect your tickets. An email on your phone is acceptable.
