Meet the Artists. Uncover a world of creative possibilities as artists open their studio doors across the Gympie region. From blacksmiths to textile artists - and everything in between -  immerse yourself in the diversity of creativity on offer along the trail. See live demonstrations, join a workshop or try your hand yourself.

  • Overlooking the picturesque community of Veteran, the community hall is a hub of creativity where makers gather regularly to share their creations. Artisans including Textiles, Jewellers, Potters, patchwork and fabric origami makers will showcase their expertise at workstations where visitors will see fascinating work created and meet the makers.      

    Various artisans will be at work throughout the weekend. They will be happy to demonstrate their skills and answer any questions people may have about their work.

  • Kerrie is an award winning artist inspired by nature and the Sandy Creek that runs beside her studio. A lover of most mediums, Kerrie draws and paints in a variety of acrylics, gouache, watercolours and pastels. Drop by for a cup of tea and watch Kerrie at play.

    Kerrie will have works in progress and can demonstrate her techniques for interested visitors.

  • Visit a unique working paper mill and bindery. Dion has been working with paper since 1978. His paper comes from many sources and is used in many ways In his bindery, Dion also produces one-of-a-kind journals and lovingly restores old books.

  • Visit Sue Purnell's tranquil rural space where working in coloured glass mosaics is her passion. Explore her work in different forms of mosaic over many works of art.

  • As a natural fibre artisan, Julia Kitto combines the beauty of locally grown plant life with traditional basketry techniques to create contemporary and decorative sculptural artworks that are both  functional and aesthetically pleasing.
