Community Grants Programs
The Community Grants Program provides financial assistance to eligible community organisations and applicants to deliver projects which:
- Respond to community need
- Align with Council’s Corporate Plan 2022- 2027 and other relevant strategies and plans
- Enhance the social, environmental, economic and cultural wellbeing of the Gympie region.
Council's grants are administered in accordance with the Community Grants Policy(PDF, 192KB).
The 2025-26-GRC-Community-Grants-Guidelines-Community-Events-Environment(PDF, 452KB) provide eligibility and assessment criteria, grant categories and priorities, and the application process. Please read the Guidelines before starting an application
Please refer to the Regional Arts Development Fund for specific information regarding applications to RADF categories.

Building Grant Skills

Whether you are applying for a grant for the first time or have applied for many, this series of video resources intends to provide general advice, tips and tricks to assists with developing your grant writing skills and managing the grants process.
1. Project Planning - this topic explores developing your project plan and timeline, engaging with the community and managing project risks.
2. Grant Writing - this topic provides general guidance and handy tips for your next grant application.
3. Grant Budgets - this topic offers a deep dive into developing an accurate and detailed budget for your grant application.
4. Managing Your Grant - this topic focuses on how to manage a grant if your application has been successful and includes, funding agreements, receiving grant income, acknowledging funding bodies, delivering your project, variations to the project and acquittal reports.
5. Marketing Your Project - this topic explores promoting your project or event to attract attendees or participants, as well as sharing good news stories.
Community Halls Support Grant
Council has endorsed revised grants guidelines to assist eligible Community Halls in meeting their financial costs.
