Adoption of Temporary Local Planning Instrument – Protection of Biodiversity Values (TLPI 1/26)
Gympie Regional Council, at its meeting of 11 February 2026, adopted Temporary Local Planning Instrument – Protection of Biodiversity Values (TLPI 1/26) with a commencement date of 23 February 2026. The TLPI will have effect up to and inclusive of 23 February 2028 (unless repealed at an earlier date). This TLPI replaces the Biodiversity TLPI adopted by Council on 23 February 2024.
The purpose of the new TLPI is to facilitate the protection of environmental values across the urban and rural residential areas of the Gympie region until the provisions of the TLPI have been appropriately integrated into a new planning scheme for the Gympie Region.
