The Gympie Regional Gallery will temporarily close from Tuesday, 27 January 2026, for nine weeks while Gympie Regional Council carries out important renewal works.
The works include repainting of internal walls and new flooring in selected areas, and fire safety upgrades as part of a significant cultural infrastructure investment by Council.
During this time, the Gallery will not be open to the public. Council has worked closely with local artists, art groups, and schools to plan for the closure and minimise disruption to community programs and activities.
The Gallery is scheduled to reopen on Saturday, 28 March 2026, with two new exhibitions. Further details about an official opening event will be announced closer to the reopening date.
