Council wishes to advise of works being undertaken to deliver a new footpath along Rifle Range Road, Gympie.
These works aim to improve connectivity in Gympie and will create a safe and accessible route by installing a new 1.2-kilometre footpath on Rifle Range Road between Cootharaba Road and Wises Road.
Works will commence in early 2026 with a view to be completed by mid-2026, weather and site conditions permitting.
Nearby residents can expect construction noise on weekdays between 6am and 6pm.
Works are being constructed in accordance with Gympie Regional Council Operational Works Approval. Residents will still be able to access their properties. In the event of altered access, affected residents will be notified.
Appropriate and approved traffic management will be in place and fencing will be erected around each element of the project for the duration of the respective works for public safety and to minimise any unnecessary disruption.
These works are proudly funded by the Queensland Government through the Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme and Gympie Regional Council.
