Welcome to Australia’s biggest regional short film festival, Gympie’s very own Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival. This October, join us for four immersive days of brilliant short films, live music, talks, workshops, panels, parties and more.

  • a FREE community event GO GOLD BLOCK PARTY on Thursday 9 October, full of film, music and more
  • our SCHOOLS DAY program on Friday 10 October, tickets on sale now
  • an outrageously GOLD opening night Gala on Friday 10 October
  • an AWARDS Ceremony celebrating filmmaking on Saturday 11 October
  • a special COMEDY night on Saturday 11 October
  • over 25 carefully curated sessions of short films from around the world, with special highlights of student work, Queensland and Australian stories
