Rally Queensland will be held from Friday 17 April to Sunday 19 April, with event activity taking place across the Gympie CBD, specifically Mary Street, Smithfield Street, Young Street, River Road, Monkland Street, and surrounding areas.
To facilitate the event, the following road closures will be in place:
Mary Street
- Closed from 2:30pm Friday 17 April
- Reopens approximately 9:00pm Saturday 18 April
Smithfield Street
- Closed from 2:30pm Friday 17 April
- Reopens Sunday 19 April (evening)
Young Street, River Road, Reef Street & Monkland Street (sections)
- Closed from 6:00pm Friday 17 April
- Reopen Sunday 19 April (evening)
Neighbouring residents should also expect the following throughout the event period:
- High pedestrian volumes across the precinct
- Increased noise, movement, and general activity
- Event infrastructure including:
- Concrete barriers
- Fencing
- Signage
