Housed in the beautiful 1905 School of Arts building, Gympie Regional Gallery has been a social and cultural hub for arts and culture in the region for over 25 years. The Gallery showcases a diverse mix of professional and emerging artists from our region, as well as touring exhibitions from around Australia. Join in a vibrant and engaging array of art classes, artist talks and tours or simply drop by to explore our changing program of exhibitions. Free entry, all welcome.

An artisan specialising in antique restoration, bespoke custom framing and one of kind sculptural pieces, Man studied ballet in France and developed his own artistic style in London before moving to Australia.

The House of Object so Desire is also open on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July during the Studio Trails

Jan's studio is a calm, clean space set within a beautiful garden...an inspiring place to paint and learn, Jan's practice focuses on paintings of beauty, from luminous flower paintings to a range of other subjects.

'I am an award-winning artist and have exhibited internationally, including at major watercolour festivals in Italy. With over 30 years’ experience as an art tutor, I am an in-demand workshop leader and hold weekly classes here in my studio, sharing skills, confidence, and a love of painting'

Jan will be giving a live art demonstration creating a watercolour on the Studio Trails.

Dedicated to the traditional and contemporary artisan craft of leadlight, Graceful Glass studio offers design, restoration, and hand-made leadlight panels using time-honoured techniques focusing on quality, detail, and lasting beauty. The studio serves as a working workshop and a creative hub, where custom pieces are thoughtfully made to suit each client and space.

The studio also offers classes and workshops, sharing skills and knowledge with those interested in learning the art of leadlight.

Award winning Chainsaw artist, Ketih Gall shares the process of creating a wax and bronze casting replica of 'The Silky", a tree stump sculpture carved from a Silky Oak Tree of 21 native Australian animals to be installed at the Brisbane Olympics and Paralympics in 2032.

Alongside Marion Creek, buffered between paperbark gums sits Julie-ann's studio space. A mixed-media artist, Julie-ann explores and shares the layered stories of the surrounding natural environment, drawing attention to the fragile beauty and complex relationships within that space.

'My work is both an act of observation and storytelling, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and rediscover their own connections to the environment around them. I'm drawn to the rhythms and patterns found in nature and will often use stencils and symbolic oval shapes to explore my personal relationship with land and water.'

Robyn's studio is nestled amongst native gardens allowing nature to infiltrate the senses as she paints. Her artworks demonstrate how plein-air studies of figures in the landscape are used as reference to bring to life the experience in her paintings.

The artist works predominately in oils though also uses acrylic, watercolour and mixed media. Rhythms and patterns observed whilst drawing from life make their way into her images through varied shapes of colour and tone.
