Gympie Regional Council will undertake early investigation works, including surveying and vacuum-assisted excavation, ahead of planned water main replacement works at several locations across the region.
The works will support the ongoing reliability and resilience of the region’s water supply network.
Timing
Works will commence from Thursday 10 September 2026 and will occur intermittently for up to two weeks at the Cooloola Cove and Tin Can Bay locations, and up to six weeks at the Gympie locations, subject to weather and site conditions.
Standard working hours will be 6.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Except on Nash Street, where works will occur from 6pm to 5am, Monday to Friday.

- Roebuck Street, between Tom Thumb Court and Endurance Avenue, Cooloola Cove.
- Dart Street, between Tin Can Bay Road and Aqua Place, Tin Can Bay.
- Endeavour Drive, between Mayflower Court and Mauretania Avenue, Cooloola Cove.
- Wises Road, between Crescent Road and Rifle Range Road, Gympie.
- Nash Street, between Monkland Street and Lawrence Street, Gympie.
What to expect
Residents and road users may notice construction vehicles, machinery, noise, minor vibrations and temporary fencing or barriers. Traffic management will be in place where required, with driveway access maintained at all times.
