Cooloola Coast hailstorm impacts flying-foxes

The hailstorm across the Cooloola Coast yesterday has had a significant impact on local wildlife, with flying-fox populations particularly affected.

Wildlife carers are reporting unusually high numbers of flying-foxes requiring assistance, especially in the Tin Can Bay and Cooloola Cove areas.

Members of the public are reminded not to touch any injured, displaced or deceased flying-foxes. Instead, please contact one of the following wildlife care organisations:
