Council will be undertaking planned sewer maintenance works, including pipe cleaning and CCTV inspections, as part of its ongoing wastewater network maintenance program.
These works help identify potential faults, prevent sewer blockages and overflows, and ensure the continued reliability of the region's wastewater network.
Location
Works will be undertaken in parts of Gympie, Victory Heights and One Mile, generally between Sproule Road and Graham Street.

Maintenance Period
Works will be carried out over the coming weeks, Monday to Friday, between 6:00am and 3:30pm.
Individual locations typically take 1–3 hours to complete.
What to Expect
During the works, residents may notice:

Sewer services will remain fully operational throughout the works.

Short-term noise, odour and minor traffic impacts may occur.

Council crews may require access to sewer maintenance holes (manholes), including those located on private property.

Where access to private property is required, Council staff will identify themselves and make every effort to minimise disruption.
Residents are asked to keep the area around sewer maintenance holes clear to allow crews to safely and efficiently complete the works.
You can continue using your sewer facilities, including toilets, showers, taps and sinks, while the maintenance is being undertaken.
