ASK COUNCIL: What can I do on my property?

Have a question about what you can do on your property or an idea for a business or development project?

This event will give residents, landowners, business operators, investors and community organisations the opportunity to discuss their specific property or business idea with the relevant Council officer and better understand requirements, opportunities and potential pathways before progressing a formal application or project.

Appointments can cover a range of property, development and business-related enquiries including:

• Agritourism, farm stays and rural tourism opportunities
• Cabins, camping and rural accommodation proposals
• Food production and agribusiness enterprises
• Home-based businesses and small business development
• Planning scheme requirements and zoning considerations
• Development application processes and approval pathways
• Property-specific development opportunities and constraints

Information and supporting resources will also be available, with representatives from Queensland Hydro, relevant Queensland Government agencies and food and agribusiness stakeholders invited to participate.

20-minute appointments will be available over two session times. 

• Afternoon: 2.30pm–4.30pm
• Evening: 5.30pm–7.30pm

Appointments are free, but bookings are encouraged as places are limited.
