Official Opening - Assigned to Bloom

Next date: Saturday, 17 October 2026 | 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM

You're invited to join us for the official opening of Assigned to Bloom, a solo exhibition by Gympie watercolourist Jan Lawnikanis.

Jan explores the meanings carried by flowers through symbolism, spirituality, medicine, food and identity. Through botanical watercolour paintings and other media, the exhibition celebrates flowers as both natural forms and vessels of human meaning, revealing the enduring connections between beauty, belief, healing, and culture.

During the opening, you will be able to meet and hear from the artist. This relaxed and conversational opening event and artist talk is designed to be accessible and engaging for a broad audience, with time for questions and free morning tea.
