Studio Trails 2026 10 Year Anniversary!

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, Gympie Region Studio Trails continues to champion the cultural and economic growth of our vibrant arts community. This signature event, led by Gympie Regional Gallery, offers visitors and locals an immersive experience—connecting them with the creativity and stories behind the region’s artists. Designed for short-break visitors within three hours of Gympie and for resident’s eager to explore local culture, Studio Trails transforms the region into a dynamic arts destination. Participants gain valuable exposure, networking opportunities, and the chance to showcase their work to a diverse audience.

Expressions of Interest are invited from artists, arts organisations, collectives and creatives from across the Gympie Region to participate in the Gympie Region Studio Trails 2026.

Trail 1

East (includes Greens Creek, Cedar Pocket, Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach, Cooloola Cove)

4 & 5 July 2026

Trail 2

West: (includes Southside, Pie Creek, Widgee, Kilkivan, Goomeri, Woolooga)

11 & 12 July 2026

Trail 3

North (includes Kia Ora, Glenwood, and Curra)

18 & 29 July 2026

Trail 4

South: (includes the Mary Valley)

25 & 26 July 2026

Opening Hours: 10am-4pm, Saturday and Sunday

Note: Opening times for Studio Trails 2026 are set at 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. If your hours differ from the standard opening hours, please note this in your EOI application.

Trail Bus

Don't want to drive yourself? Want to relax and see the region? The Gympie Regional Gallery is running a small bus to a curated selection of studios. Hop on the Trail Bus for a guided tour and enjoy the Studio Trails journey from the comfort of a passenger seat.

The Bus leaves from Gympie Regional Gallery, 39 Nash Street. Bring your lunch and a water bottle. Snacks provided.

Departure – 9:30am

Return – Approximately 4pm

Cost: $15

Gympie Region Studio Trails 2025 is a Council Initiative under the Regional Artists Development Fund. The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Gympie Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

This project was made possible by the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund, provided through Regional Arts Australia, administered in Queensland by Flying Arts Alliance.
