Gympie Regional Council will commence construction works at Chatsworth Park from the end of August, with works expected to take approximately 12 weeks, subject to weather conditions.
For safety reasons, the park will be closed to the public for the duration of the works.
The works will include:
- Demolition of the existing timber bridge
- Construction of new concrete culverts
- Bitumen resealing
- Repairs to the turnaround area and Vantage Road entrance
- Repairs to the stormwater pipe road crossing
- Tree pruning and installation of bollards in open spaces
