Gravity Sewer Installation – Caledonian Hill
Gympie Regional Council is committed to improving our water and sewer infrastructure and as part of this, will be commencing the installation of a gravity sewer in Caledonian Hill to improve sewer access.
Works will include:
- Installation of 65m of sewer line and a new manhole
- Associated reinstatement works as required
Timeframe:
The works are scheduled to commence from 8 September 2025 and take approximately 3 weeks to complete, weather and site conditions permitting.
Works will be undertaken between 7am and 5pm weekdays.
Impacts:
- Loss of on street parking along the north side of Caledonian Hill Rd (as per the map) due to excavation works for up to three (3) weeks.
- Temporary loss of on street parking along the south side of Caledonia Hill due to shoulder closure required for rock excavation as required. This would be for a period of 2-5 days pending site conditions.
- A pedestrian diversion route will be in place.
- Noise during excavation works
- During this period properties will still have access and temporary traffic management will be in place at the work site.
