Libraries to Reopen
All branches of Gympie Regional Libraries will re-commence on-site access from Monday 1 June 2020. There are changes to opening hours and limitations to numbers of people and services.

GYMPIE REGIONAL LIBRARIES TO CLOSE IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19
Gympie Regional Council wishes to advise that all of its 6 libraries will close to customers from Monday 23 March until further notice.
Council is advising customers to hold onto their books until the libraries re-open. Your items have been extended until 30 June. Any item requests will not be available until the libraries reopen.
Council’s Online Library will remain available 24/7 for users and offers access to thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and music and video streaming services. Residents without an existing membership can contact the library for a digital membership from Monday to access the eLibrary collection.
Wi-Fi facilities will remain free and accessible around library buildings during normal operational hours.
The Home Library service for the aged, frail or disabled hs been suspended.

Gympie Regional Council is working closely with Queensland Health and the Federal Government and will continue to be guided by these agencies on all matters of public health.
