Scheduled mains cleaning

Council advises that works are being undertaken across the region to clean the water reticulation system.

You may see Council’s contractors (a NO-DES truck and crew) working around your area.

Water supply will not be disrupted during the cleaning process. However it is possible that you may experience some discolouration while the truck treats your segment of the water main.

If you experience discoloured water, Council recommends that you turn on a tap, preferably the one closest to your meter, and run the water until discolouration subsides before using other taps. This should only take a minute or two.

Should you require any further information on this matter, please contact Council’s Water Business Unit on 1300 307 800.
