The Gympie region provides a unique and diverse environment, providing significant opportunities for outdoor recreation for both local residents and visitors.
While the area already provides a great variety of recreation tracks and trails within public lands, the opportunity exists to enhance this to provide additional recreation, tourism and economic benefits.
The Gympie region provides regionally significant trails including (part of) the Cooloola Great Walk and Bicentennial National Trail, as well as more localised networks such as the Victory Heights Trail Network.
