Statistics and data
Having the right information at your fingertips allows you to make informed and evidenced based decisions about your business. Here are a few resources to help you succeed in business.
Gympie Region Economic Profile
The Gympie Regional Council's economic profile presents economic information that enables you to describe the area's role within the broader economy, explore options for economic development and promote the area's strengths. The information presented here is derived from official sources of information (Australian Bureau of Statistics) as well as Australia's leading economic modellers (NIEIR). The latest data from each series is always presented in this site.
Gympie Region Community Profile
The Gympie Regional Council Community Profile provides demographic analysis for the Regional Council and smaller areas within it based on results from the 2016, 2011, 2006, 2001, 1996 and 1991 Censuses of Population and Housing. The profile is updated with population estimates when the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) releases new figures.
Gympie Region Social Atlas
The Gympie Regional Council area Social Atlas presents Census data in its most compelling form – as a series of thematic maps that show how particular population groups are distributed across the Gympie Regional Council area. There are over 100 individual maps, each representing a community of interest, such as young children, or the elderly. The maps are shaded to show where there are concentrations of these communities of interest, which enables planners to accurately assess the demand for the provision of services and facilities to target populations.
