Southside Sewer Project
Council will be installing underground sewerage mains and plumbing connections to existing unsewered development in the Southside area (620 properties), as part of the Southside Sewerage 10 Year Program.
This is to provide environmentally and publicly safe instructure in accordance with the Queensland Local Government Act 2009.
Stages 8, 9 and 10 of the design phase will begin in mid-February, and the construction stages will commence from July 2018.
A total of nine kilometres of sewer main and plumbing connections will be built in these three stages.
Residents and owners have been informed of the project and will continue to receive information as this project progresses.
Council has engaged a surveying contractor to collect site data (ie. location of existing infrastructure, power, trees, etc).
This survey data is essential to creating a design that minimises the impact on residents.
