Street stalls

Council has allocated seven sites in Mary Street for not for profit organisations to conduct street stalls. If you wish to conduct a street stall in Mary Street you will need to complete a street stall application form and provide a copy of your current Public Liability Insurance policy.

Level of coverage must be a minimum $20,000,000 and Gympie Regional Council must be noted as an "interested party" on the Certificate of Currency.

A minimum of two weeks notice is required prior to the street stall.

Busking

Council has allocated four sites in Mary Street for holders of approvals to carry out busking activities. If you wish to busk in Mary Street you will need to complete a Busking application form and provide Council with a copy of your current Public Liability Insurance policy.

Level of coverage must be a minimum $20,000,000 and Gympie Regional Council must be noted as an "interested party" on the Certificate of Currency.

A minimum of two weeks notice is required prior to the event.

Busking on private property (e.g inside a shop or shopping centre) does not require an approval from Council. However you will need approval from the business owner or centre management.

Functions

You need to apply for a permit to hold a function at a beach, park, reserve or stage. Fees and bonds are payable for commercial use including circuses, carnivals, trade or other commercial displays.
