Julie Williams from AgSolutions to present “Meet the Entrepreneur” series in Kandanga
Gympie Regional Council is pleased to bring the next event in our Startup Gympie Region Meet the Entrepreneur series.
The free event will feature one of our region’s leading entrepreneurs, Julie Williams, CEO of AgSolutions on Thursday 4 May from 5:15pm – 7:00pm at the Kandanga Bowling Club.
“This will be a great opportunity for aspiring startup entrepreneurs as well as managers of established businesses seeking innovative ways to grow to get together with like-minded individuals,” said Gympie Regional Council’s Mayor Mick Curran.
“This is part of a 12 month program of workshops, networking events and information sessions delivered through the region, targeted at supporting the growth of high potential new businesses as well as assisting established businesses to grow and develop,” he said.
Through her role as CEO of AgSolutions, Julie Williams has built on the hard work and dedication of her parents who began the company 27 years ago, and now oversees a thriving business employing over 30 team members who are committed to serving farming communities.
As a leader, Julie has always looked at ways to enhance the business and she has ensured that this philosophy of ‘continuous improvement’ now underpins everything done at AgSolutions.
Working in a family business with her husband, brother, cousin and parents there have been plenty of challenges that she has had to overcome and she will share some tips and hints of what to do and what not to do in a multi-generational family business.
The Startup Gympie Region Program is being delivered through the Queensland Government’s Advance Queensland initiative.
