Helping your organisation succeed online - 21 February 2014

Businesses and not-for-profit organisations in the Gympie region now have the opportunity to participate in an innovative Program, commencing in March, which has the potential to change the way they do business now and into the future.

The Digital Enterprise Program which will be launched in the Gympie region, Monday March 24, includes free workshops and one-on-one consultations to help participants gain the knowledge and skills to take advantage of opportunities the digital economy and technology brings.

The first workshop, Online Presence, being held in Gympie Monday, March 24 from 4.00pm to 7.00pm will cover online marketing, website design and development, social media and eCommerce. Seating is limited at the workshops so early registration is encouraged.

Eligible businesses and organisations are encouraged to register to attend and take advantage of the ever increasing opportunities for businesses and organisations made available through technology.

After taking part in at least one workshop, participants will be eligible for four hours of free one-on-one consultation.

Economic Development and Corporate Governance Portfolio Councillor Tony Perrett said, "This program is an excellent example of collaboration between Councils in the Wide Bay Burnett region through the Wide Bay Burnett Regional Organisation of Councils."

"The support of the Australian Government and Bundaberg Regional Council has enabled the Digital Enterprise Program to be offered in the Gympie region."

Cr Perrett said, "The free program will also teach attendees how technology and access to high speed broadband may improve their online presence, offer new products and services, expand their market, improve their competitiveness and increase their means of communicating with customers and suppliers."
