Get behind Gympie region’s clean up plans - 28 February 2014

Gympie Regional Council is encouraging all members of the community to get involved in Clean Up Australia Day 2014, to be held on Sunday 2 March 2014.

Clean Up Australia Day is fun, easy and gives everyone the opportunity to take part in helping our environment.

In the 20 years since Clean Up Australia Day started, Australians have devoted more than 24 million hours toward the environment and collected over 200,000 tonnes of rubbish.

You can join in by either getting a group together and nominating your site on, or by joining in at one of the following nine sites to be held over the Gympie region.


                    8.00am  Mary Valley Road – Attie Sullivan Park

                    8.00am  Corella Road – outside the Gympie Cemetery gates

                    8.00am  Albert Park – Gympie Touch Grounds



                    8.00am  Curra Country Club


          Rainbow Beach

                    8.00am  Phil Rogers Park, Rainbow Beach


          Cooloola Cove 

                    8.30am Centenary Park (off Mauretania Avenue)


          Tin Can Bay

                    8.00am Snapper Creek Road – SES Shed


          Mary Valley 

                    8.30am Amamoor General Store
