Gympie Regional Council is progressing the Imbil Streetscape Revitalisation!
With support of Queensland Hydro, we are beginning this collaborative process of developing a vision for the future of Imbil. Building on the 'Our Towns' project in 2017, Council is reconnecting with the local community to refresh the Concept Masterplan and capture Imbil's identity and local aspirations.
We want to work with you, our residents, businesses and community groups, to authentically capture the stories and character of Imbil, and your ideas for township improvements. Over coming months, the community will have the opportunity to take part in several engagement sessions as well as contribute to online surveys and take part in community workshops.
The outcomes of this community consultation project will be used to by our team to develop a Place Positioning Document, as well as a Streetscape and Heritage Park Concept Plan which will align with future aspirations for the Rail Trail extension to Amamoor. It's anticipated this will be presented to Council by the end of the year.
You can have your say by filing out our online survey.
Further community engagement opportunities will be arranged later in the year as the project progresses. Information about ongoing engagement opportunities will be communicated to the community in advance through Council’s communications channels.
