Support for the Environment
Council provides financial assistance to eligible community organisations to deliver projects which respond to the environmental priorities set out in Council’s Environment Strategy.

Purpose: To improve environmental outcomes in the Gympie region through the delivery of major projects that align with priorities in Council’s Environment Strategy.
Amount: Maximum grant amount $40,000
No co-contribution from the applicant is required.
Priorities: The environmental priorities set out in Council’s Environment Strategy are:
- Biodiversity and habitat protection
- Adapting to a changing climate and natural hazard management
- Improving land management practices that influence water quality and waterway health
- Energy efficiency and the addition of renewable energy

Project delivery timeframe: 12 months from submission of Funding Agreement
