Heart Foundation Walking is part of a broader Heart Foundation goal to encourage and support walking and physical activity to build the heart health of Australia.
Heart Foundation Walking works to create supportive environments for physical activity and raising the profile of walking as a fun, free and accessible physical activity.
Heart Foundation Walking in Gympie Region
There are a variety of Heart Foundation walking groups throughout the region from Gympie to Kilkivan to Tin Can Bay. Join one today or start a new group!

Gympie Regional Council is the Local Coordinator for Heart Foundation Walking in the Gympie Region. Council provides support to volunteer Walk Organisers to establish new walking groups, promote group activities and events and bring Walk Organisers together to share ideas.

Find a Walking Group
Walkers can join a group and/or be part of a virtual walking community that track their activity online, participate in events and online challenges.
Volunteer Walk Organisers
Volunteers Walk Organisers establish and maintain community-based walking groups with the assistance of Council (the Local Coordinator). They are provided with resources, training and support and receive complimentary Heart Foundation merchandise for their role.
Walk Organisers are registered Heart Foundation volunteers and are provided with insurance coverage under the Heart Foundation Volunteer Policy.
