Gympie Sesquicentenary (G150)

This year Gympie is marking its 150th anniversary since the discovery of gold by James Nash.

Originally discovered in October 1867, this particular month is also widely recognised as the founding date of the Gympie Township.

During this year-long salute, the Gympie region will be hosting a variety of community festivals, events and concerts, exciting exhibitions and activities that explore our community’s rich heritage and celebrate the evolution of our great region!
