Perspectives: Near and Far

Back

Showcasing local artists Chris Williams and Tess Stuart and their contrasting perspectives.

With a shared love of the natural world, Chris and Tess present a mixed media exhibition with contrasting conversations. While Chris focuses on more details site-specific work, Tess’s semi-abstract approach offers a more emotive perspective.

Chris's work is site-specific and explores the minutiae of nature and employs fine paper scissor cut-outs with detailed pen work to inform the patterns and colours in her artwork. In contrast, Tess expresses her experiences of the landscape using soft earthy colours intersecting the structural shapes of trees within the space to create a dramatic impact on the canvas.

Their artworks celebrate local Gympie, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast, Tin Can Bay and Boreen Point sites.

Open during normal Gallery hours, Tuesday to Friday 10am – 4pm, Saturday 10am – 2pm. Entry is free, all welcome.
