The Earth Beneath Our Feet
A joint exhibition by Sally Spencer and Sue McLean of painting and installation works that celebrate the life force of Gaia – Mother Earth.
From Sue's large scale paintings about the unseen life that is a constant beneath our feet to Sally's paleolithic cave paintings and sculptures revealing sacred connections to the Earth.
To support this exhibition, archaeological kits from the Queensland Museum, artefacts supplied by the Gympie Bone Museum, and photographs by Ruby Rosenfield will be on display providing a great interactive component for visitors of all ages and interests.
Local First Nations artist Butchulla Elder Nai Nai Bird has also been invited to include artworks that reflect a commitment to recognising one of the oldest living cultures in the world.
