We’d like to work with more local businesses

It is council’s responsibility to facilitate a situation where local businesses are applying for and securing contracts with council. Council regularly advertise invitations for tender across a range of industries including construction, commercial cleaning, technology, water, and more. Our aim is to make doing business with council more accessible and attractive to our local business community.

Join us at one of our sessions:

  • First session: 12.30pm to 3.00pm
  • Second session: 4.00pm to 7.00pm

The topics covered during the information sessions:

  • Developing the skills and knowledge required to tender for business.
  • Demonstrations from VendorPanel and Local Buy.
  • Q&A session with council’s Procurement team and opportunities for one-on-one discussions.
  • Supplier survey results and what we are doing with feedback.
  • Council’s Procurement framework.
  • The steps required to do business with council.
