Creativity is the lifeblood of every business. When smart businesses and innovators connect, they share each other's successes and boost competitive advantage.
Queensland's creative industries alone contribute $3.4 billion to the national economy every year. The creative industries are growing faster than the aggregate economy and contribute more to the gross domestic product than traditional industries.
Creativity is not limited to the arts. Thinking creatively, or coming up with new ways of doing things is what it is all about. In our region, we have innovators using nut shells to generate power, engineers inventing award-winning low loaders, and award-winning graphic designers and architects.
Creative Unlimited began life as a collective of like-minded people who recognised the positive impacts creative industries bring to every industry and sector being:
- stimulated growth
- a diversified economy
- the regeneration of our region
- a culture that attracts talent and leaders
- respect for the next generation's ambitions.
Our mission is to encourage the worlds of business and innovation to become co-creators of value in our region. We want the best of both worlds.
Through the Creative Unlimited Directory you can network, share knowledge, locate providers and buyers and increase your potential by connecting with local creative industries. By forging successful partnerships, locally and globally, the Gympie region will come alive and thrive.
The Creative Industries is a diverse sector and includes IT, music, design, art, architecture, writing, film and television production to name a few. The Gympie region is home to the Australian Institute of Country Music and hosts nationally renowned arts, cultural and performance events.
Providing the environment and infrastructure to support this industry growth also helps identify the talent and business capabilities we have in our own region, showcase these businesses and in turn identify opportunities for their growth and development.
Strong links with regional universities including the University of the Sunshine Coast and the University of Southern Queensland also are providing opportunities for the growth of our regional intellectual capital and helping to put the Gympie region on the creative and knowledge based economy map.
