Community training

Community groups and clubs have a wide range of legal, financial and operational responsibilities. Gympie Regional Council provides free or heavily subsidised training to help community organisations meet these growing expectations.

By attending training, committee members, volunteers and staff can gain new skills so they can better serve their members and the wider community and ensure the longevity of their organisation.

Council encourages community, sport and recreation organisations to attend our training workshops held throughout the year.

Disaster Preparedness Workshops

In 2019, workshops are being held throughout the Gympie region to assist not for profit community and sporting groups prepare for disaster events.

Come along to a free interactive workshop presented by Gympie Regional Council in conjunction with Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES).
