Community training

Community groups and clubs have a wide range of legal, financial and operational responsibilities. Gympie Regional Council provides free or heavily subsidised training to help community organisations meet these growing expectations.

By attending training, committee members, volunteers and staff can gain new skills so they can better serve their members and the wider community and ensure the longevity of their organisation.

Council encourages community, sport and recreation organisations to attend our training workshops held throughout the year.

Community upcoming workshops

Succession Planning
Thursday 7 June 2018, from
6pm
Gympie

Council has partnered with Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing to host this free workshop for all not-for-profit sport, recreation clubs and community groups in the Gympie region.

A succession plan will help prepare your club for expansion, the loss of volunteers or filling vacant committee positions. Succession planning helps in matching the right person to a position and makes sure that when new staff or volunteers commence they have all the information they need to do the job.
