Changes to waste disposal charges
The new 2017/2018 financial year will bring changes to charges for waste disposal at Gympie Regional Council's Waste Management Facilities and Transfer Stations. Council's aim is to encourage recycling and to maximise the amount of waste diverted from the landfill.
Electronic payment of charges
From Saturday, 1 July 2017, electronic payment facilities are available at waste management facilities.
All major credit and debit cards are accepted for payment of waste disposal charges by electronic funds transfer (EFT). Tax invoices will be provided at the time of payment.
Council will no longer issue invoices for waste disposal charges.
Residents and businesses will need to bring their credit or debit card for electronic payments when disposing of waste at our waste management facilities.
Businesses that accrue a minimum of $200 per month on waste disposal at waste management facilities may be eligible to dispose on credit and continue to receive invoices.
